FAQs

ABA is not one-size-fits-all. Our goal is to determine whether services are appropriate for your child and, if so, create a plan that truly supports their individual needs.

Is ABA right for every child?

Yes. We believe collaboration with families is essential and provide ongoing support, guidance, and communication throughout services.

Will I be involved in my child’s therapy?

This depends on your child’s individual needs. We do not automatically recommend the maximum number of hours and instead focus on creating a plan that is appropriate, effective, and sustainable for your family.

How many hours of therapy does my child need?

Not at Reins & Roots. While structured teaching can have a place, we focus on play-based, natural learning experiences that feel engaging and meaningful for each child.

Is ABA only table work?

ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) is a therapy that focuses on helping children build communication, independence, and everyday life skills through structured and natural learning opportunities.

About ABA

We work with insurance providers and will guide you through the process of verifying benefits and obtaining authorization for services.

Do you accept insurance?

We currently offer in-home and community-based services, with plans to open a clinic in Spring 2027.

We typically serve children and adolescents between the ages of 2 and 21. Rather than focusing strictly on age, we consider each child’s individual needs to determine whether our services are the right fit.

What ages do you serve?

Where do services take place?

We are a BCBA-co owned and operated practice that prioritizes quality, individualized care, and a play-based, natural approach. We focus on meaningful progress, not just hours, and work closely with families every step of the way.

What makes Reins & Roots different from other ABA providers?

About Reins & Roots

Equine-assisted therapy will be available once our clinic location opens, with plans to incorporate it as part of our services moving forward.

When will equine therapy be available?

No. Equine-assisted therapy will be incorporated into your child’s ABA services once our clinic location opens. Children will have the opportunity to work with the BCBA and horses for a designated portion of their therapy time, making it a natural and integrated part of their overall treatment plan.

Do I need to take my child somewhere else for equine therapy?

No prior experience is needed. All activities are guided and tailored to each child’s comfort level and needs.

Will my child need experience with horses?

Working with horses can help children build trust, improve emotional awareness, and develop regulation skills in a way that feels engaging and less clinical.

How does equine therapy help children?

Equine-assisted therapy involves structured interactions with horses to support emotional regulation, confidence, communication, and connection in a natural, hands-on environment.
